Week of April 26

Dear Mom,
My two new companions are the greatest! Elder Porter and Elder Heaps! They are awesome, we are all new to Hobbs except for Elder Porter and we just get along super well because we all have the same sense of humor! We have a baptism this Saturday for Ivonne who is 18 years old and is converted to the gospel! I love Hobbs, New Mexico! No Texas pride in the slightest!
Funniest moment this week was the entire thing! Sorry I don't have specific moments because it was all just hilarious!
Most spiritual moment was seeing a couple I saw in a dream while I was in Pampa so that was mind-blowing! Most frustrating is when I forgot my scriptures in Pampa and didn't realize till I got to New Mexico but they were mailed to me and we got it figured out.
We have the serious potential to baptize 4 people this transfer with one this Saturday and I am pumped!
Plus we have a two floor apartment and it is nice! We just play card games every night after planning and have a blast together! They both are about to go home and really want Mexican wives haha so that is even funnier.
I don't have that much to talk about as the week is still fresh but Molly and I have been writing each other frequently, even more than you guys send me so that is a little unfair ;)
Anyways I love you a ton and wish the best!  I know that this transfer is going to be the best!
Love you guys!

Week of April 19th

Steffani, Emmanuel and Sofia

He had to stoop for her to do that!

Bishop Guymon and Family

Wosley Family
Dear Mom,
My favorite memory with Great Grandpa Evans was the interview that I had with him about his service in the military and his early life! It was a really special experience for me to know that my great grandfather loved God and his country enough to leave his family for 2 to 3 years and come back more of a man than when he left! Sounds like a worthy full-time mission to me! Just in a different way!
This week has been way better, turns out what made Elder Gadd sick was Pizza Hut, figures.
I am so excited and bummed that I will be coming back to nobody being in the ward because everybody is out on a mission! Crazy when you put life into a thoughtful perspective!

I am sure that you will look just as good as senior year by Christmas, I will do it with you too! By Christmas I will be officially yaked/jacked/yoked/muchomacho/buff/swoll/surfboard/ablicious son you will ever have :) Plus I ran 3 miles and my companion and I were exhausted and almost died haha. I can not wait for Mothers Day and yes I will be able to skype with you guys! The most spiritual thing I had is saying goodbye! I am getting transferred to Hobbs, New Mexico Spanish Area. My new companions are Elder Porter (Elder Gadd's best friend from back home) And Elder Heaps.

My Favorite scripture right now appears a lot in Doctrine and Covenants and says "He that exalteth himself shall be abased, and he who abaseth himself shall be exalted" So I learned that being humble has a lot more blessings than anything else does.
What I learned this week was never to go to a steakhouse with your companion on Prom night or else you are going to be mistaken as a gay couple. Best Night ever!
Andrew and I write every week and I haven't heard from Dallin in 3 months...
I also got through my first Tornado! It was intense!
Anyways, I love you guys and my new address is 509 W Kiowa Drive Apartment D Hobbs, New Mexico 88240, keep me posted!
Love,
Elder Farley

Wow am I behind... last three emails!

Dear Mom,
My week was a little bit of a bummer because Elder Gadd had quite a lot of food poisoning so I just had a lot of time to think to myself.
Miah and his wife are closer to baptism, just need that nudge from the Holy Ghost! Itzel and Stefani are moving along at a good pace. Our neighbor moved to Amarillo because he got a better job, but if you could look him up on facebook for me, he wants to keep in touch, his name is Daniel Jacquez. Tell Brother Peterson that I am doing good and still reading my patriarchal blessing every week. Tell Caden that he should do the same if not daily.
I would actually really appreciate an ensign for the conference edition! We are allowed anything on Gospel Library. I really liked how much it talked about family and our divine potential. Still a little iffy on marriage though, but maybe that will change.
Most of our area speaks Spanish and it is starting to annoy me a little that I am the only person talking during lessons or contacting.
Thanks for your support on college! I am really proud of Bryn and Brie for their achievements in soccer! But sadly,
I don't have much to talk about this week due to medical reasons. Anyways I love you and wish the best for all of you! Please keep me in your prayers!

Week of Easter
Dear Mom,
I assure you that that hot dog was delicious, it was an apple soda that ironically looked like beer so we thought it would be funny to have a picture with it. We were able to watch conference and I am "opposed!" I would like to be an usher at general conference so I can literally boot-out people like that. I really loved how it was pretty much all about the family and marriage.
I am just a little stressed out because there is a less active our age who is breaking the law of chastity with a 15 year old girl and also is claiming 50 shades of grey to be a really good movie. We have tried nearly anything but nothing is working right now.
Well, what do you expect when you go to California without me, haven't you already figured out that it is me that brings the fun? I also thought about it and I would like to enroll in college and get a degree in Business and Linguistics, so if you could enroll me to Dixie, Weber, LDSBC, Utah State, or Utah Valley and see who will accept me that would be great!
That sucks for the boys, the people who stole shall have their reward, or in other words, God controls karma. Thank you for all the love and support you give me and please remember to love one another and be a family in Zion!
Love,
Elder Farley

End of March
Dear Mom,
My week has been pretty good. We haven't met with Miah yet, but now his wife is interested so we probably won't set a baptismal date until we get her caught up with Miah. We are also teaching Stefani Alanis who is personally one of my favorite people in Texas. We are also teaching Lupita and Estaban and Victoria who are less actives and a non member mom. The funniest is when Elder Gadd and I made a new type of food where we cover a hot dog in blueberry muffin mix and then bake until the mix becomes a little more solid and then wrap bacon around it and bake it the rest of the way. They are the most well spent foods I have ever come across!  The Pants are still a little girly but I will make due. It really shows off my booty pretty nice, so watch out ladies. General Conference is always shown at the church but we might watch it at Lupita's house. Anyways, I love you and wish the best!
Anyways I love you guys and hope everything back home goes well!
Love, Elder Farley
