Dear Mom,
My week was really good, Jeremy is finally getting ambition and realizing he needs to become more social. So we developed a plan for him to do that. I remember that conversation vividly with Bryson. Haha That kid sometimes. We have officially finished all lessons with Miah and he accepts everything. He just needs a spiritual confirmation. I found my camera so it is all fine, in fact I will send pictures this time! I heard about Bryn's game, tell her I still support her no matter what. It is really good that Bryn is building relationships at that age so tell her to keep hanging out with those girls unless they bring her standards down of course.
Tell Megan and Marley both congratulations please! And thanks for the book title, that sounds really up my alley. President Heap told me if I stay obedient than I would make a great zone leader of Assistant someday. So that gave me initiative. I am now also teaching a Spanish and English class so now I am officially a teacher. Sorry for my short email this week, it has been pretty dry regarding special events. Please keep everyone in your prayers and tell everyone I hope the best for them!

Love,

Dear Mom,
I love the Yoga Mat so you are totally fine! Chips were interesting though! Thanks for the money as well!(Asked if he had received his 2nd birthday package - which by his response it is a no!) I am glad that you attended his Homecoming!  I love that poem! (The Race) In fact, I am going to print it out and put it on my wall! Elder Shaw and I were known to be really good friends so President Heap gave him my number and we were allowed to talk each night before he left! He always told President Heap that I would be one of the greatest missionaries that he will ever have and to work with me a lot more often. (So glad Austin has people like Elder Shaw around him to buoy him up!)
One funny experience was teaching an active member named Jeremy who plays video games all day, has long hair to his waist, and has a pet bunny named Bun Bun who just sits and chews on the carpet all day. So we were teaching about working and service and I asked him what he wanted to do when he was in High School and he said "I just wanted to get through life, live and learn" Elder Gadd responded with "Well, what do you want to do now?" And Jeremy replied " Get through life, live and learn" Elder Gadd, a little frustrated said "How do you expect to do that? And Jeremy said "I'm doing it" The conversation got so awkward and quiet that I just looked around and said "Oh, Bun Bun..."  We gave him a chapter in the Gospel Principles book about developing talents and left. Haha
Spiritual experience, We taught Miah about the Priesthood and Service and he really knows alot from his studies of the Bible and Book of Mormon and he is progressing so much. He feels that this is the right church but still wants that spiritual confirmation. He is really an elect, prepared person and Elder Gadd and I work in Unity a lot. (I asked how they were getting along, he also sounds like a great Elder)
It has been really hot here, about 70 degrees so no snow here haha best birthday weather ever! Good luck with the tournament! The Life of Jesus Christ is on LDS.Org/Store and it is great!
Love you guys and wish you the most amazing week! By the way I lost my camera and am looking for it in the meantime!(That's what you love to hear! I asked why he wasn't sending pictures!)

Elder Farley

Week of Austin's Birthday!

Dear Mom,
I have one baptism but it is planned for Andrew's birthday and not mine. But Stake Conference is on my birthday but sadly I have to sing...  Miah is still doing really well, and Rodney is doing great because his sister is back in Brownfield which is 4 hours away. Your prayers would be wonderful! Our baptism is for David Ferrar, a 60 year old man who is a member's roommate and says that he feels comfortable everytime that we teach him and that everything makes a lot of sense. He even decided to talk to his boss and get Sundays off of work now.
My new companion is Elder Gadd, my old Zone leader when I was in Spearman so I know him very well. He is from Sundance, Utah and he is a really obedient kid with a great sense of humor. His favorite movie is Zoolander haha. He has been out for 18 months now. I have been doing yoga since sophomore year of high school, It is a really relaxing but stretching workout. Bryson would like it a ton! A blue mat is not considered feminine...(I told him I was having a hard time finding a yoga mat with out a pretty design)And yes you do procrastinate, and it has been going on much too long ;)
I didn't really care about the Superbowl, I mean I would have liked the Seahawks to win but it didn't really affect me as it would have. I really like that quote, (one I sent from Pres. Monson on attitude) another scripture I like that relates to me is Ether 12:6 because of the trials of faith I have had these past few months and the miracles that come from them like the 2 baptisms I already have. If they weren't miracles then I am not sure what miracles are. Elder Shaw definitely would love to talk to you guys! He and I were allowed to contact each other nightly last transfer and it definitely was a blessing! I got Sadie's address and am e-mailing her. My Spanish is actually coming along really well, more so than if I was with a Spanish companion. Congratulations with quitting the job! Love you and I am excited to get my birthday present!

Elder Farley

Dear Dad,
I hope Bryson and Caden can work out their differences too!(Superbowl differences!) I am really happy that the location in Ogden is picking up! Hopefully, that has been my dream to see Bluebonnets on my mission so hopefully! Our district meetings are here in Pampa and our Zone Conferences are in Amarillo and our Zone Trainings are in Borger. We are allowed to go once a transfer but we can't get anyone to give us a ride! It is extremely frustrating. (Greg asked if they were able to attend the Temple in Lubbock)Tell Marley, Parker, and James to write me when they get back and tell me their testimonies, that would be great!
Love you,
Elder Farley
